It is a natural material composed of the remains left from the distillation of crude oil or anything similar to it. Bitumen is a material in a tar state that is created when oil, lime or other organic matter is transformed by heat. It works as the main element of asphalt. Usually, the word “Bitumen” is used as a synonym for asphalt. While “asphalt” is frequently used in the U.S.A and Asia, ‘Bitumen’ is used in Europe in many cases. There is diverse usage of asphalt such as for road paving, waterproofing etc. However about 95% of Asphalt is used for road paving. Asphalt can be transported in bulk state or packed in drum and is classified largely into pen 60/70 and pen 80/100 according to one of its features, penetration degree etc. BAY TERMINAL & DISTRIBUTION CO.
